Radio station 7QT commenced broadcasting on the AM band in 1937 from the Paragon Theatre Queenstown as the 'Voice of the West Coast'. This two-part program, produced by Miyuki Jokiranta, celebrates the history of 7QT and the role of women in West Coast radio. It features interviews with long-time 7QT broadcaster Verna Wakefield, in conversation with colleagues Lorraine Powell and Wendy Powell, and former station manager Phillip Ebrall.

FLUX was an 2 day event held in a disused limestone quarry imagined as a giant singing bowl featuring artists, poets, musicians, visitors and local residents.
Miyuki Jokiranta interviewed participants Cecilia Vicuna, Douglas Kahn, Joel Stern and Camilla Marambio, and presented field recordings collected during the event.

As part of the Unconformity on 16 October 2016, Queenstown's iconic gravel oval hosted an epic match between a mixed team of visiting artists, media and hangers-on and a team of West Coast miners. After a hard-fought match, tempered by hangovers, the West were victorious over the Rest. But football was the ultimate winner, thanks to the spirit and generosity shown by both sides.
